Sotera G. Cabanting aka "Vhee Cabanting" was born and raised by her beloved parents Mr. & Mrs. Mariano Cabanting Sr. in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She finished her bachelor’s degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education at the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State University, the then Ilocos Sur Agricultural College, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur in 1985. She immigrated to Hawaii, USA through her parents’ petition in 2004.

She got born again through JIL Church in Hong Kong in 1988 where she 1st served the Lord in the following ministries such as: COM (Cell Outreach Ministry), Ushering Ministry, Arts & Design Ministry, and Education Ministry.She was appointed as Assistant Pastor in September 1996, ordained Minister of the Gospel on January 1, 2001 by Bishop Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva and became full-time in 2001-2003. She also became the District Pastor of JIL Church in Binangonan, Rizal (Central Operation – Area 20) from 2002-2004. She is also a graduate from the International Bible College (JIL IBC – Bulacan) where she completed the Intensive Pastoral Training Course in 2002.

She is now serving the Lord as the Church Pastor of JIL Long Beach, California and as Asst. Area Pastor for Los Angeles Area, Los Angeles, California.
