Pastor Arnel Aquino came to know the Lord through JIL Church in Araullo High School in 1983 at the age 17, he served the Lord in different ministries such as Ushering, School Outreach, Company Outreach, Bible Teacher & Music Ministry. He started pastoring a Community Home Church in Manila at the age 19 and served as Worship Leader in JIL main service at Araullo High School. He served in this capacity from 1987–1990 before he migrated to the United States.

Pastor Arnel assisted Pastor Bert in planting the church in Las Vegas Nevada from 1990-1992. He started serving as Full-time pastor of JIL San Diego in 1993 and presently, he is also the Area Pastor for Southern California overseeing 9 churches. He is a member of the International Operations 1 Management Team. Pastor Arnel is married to Pastor Dianette Aquino with 3 children Dian, Dianelle and DJ, currently residing in San Diego California as their home base.
